I revisited this in latest VS studio preview (Version 16.8.0 Preview 2.1) and it’s been a bit more refined, but it’s still way to basic. I really recommend checking out NSwag directly: https://github.com/RicoSuter/NSwag
I have used it to generate many Open API clients the last year, and it works great and it has high configuration possibilities for your needs.
